Josh Batey

Graduate Architectural Technologist

Over the past few months, Josh has contributed to a variety of projects, which has helped him strengthen his creative thinking and problem-solving skills. He is highly motivated to continue developing his technical knowledge and takes an active approach to learning what’s required at each project stage. By shadowing experienced colleagues and using resources such as Union Square, he consistently works to produce accurate and high-quality drawing packages.

Specialisms: Josh is also a member of the BIM Team, where he has supported the ongoing development of BIM implementation across the practice. His contributions include participating in BIM audits and creating resources such as the BIM Family Checker to support more efficient and consistent workflows.

Personal Ambition: I’m keen to continue building hands-on experience across a wide variety of projects with the talented team at GT3. I’m committed to growing my skillset as an Architectural Technologist by gaining deeper involvement in projects from RIBA Stages 3 and 4 onwards, with a particular focus on understanding and delivering the technical requirements of each phase.
