  • Status: Complete

Boldon House is the new home for Durham Universities professional services teams, including IT, HR, Estate and Facilities, Finance and Procurement, Marketing, and Research and Innovation Services.

After a full refurbishment programme, Boldon House has become one of the University’s most environmentally sustainable buildings, with PV solar panels and air sourced heat pump heating. Durham University’s Boldon House is leading the way in active travel. This 69,965 sqft building has recently achieved a Gold ActiveScore, setting a new benchmark for sustainable workspaces in the education sector.

As well as flexible workspaces for all teams, across its three floors the building is also home to a bright and welcoming reception, large café area, touchdown workspaces, meeting rooms, training room, multi-faith room, business lounge, wellness room, family room, and facilities to support active travel to work.

A perfect example of repurposing an existing building and creating a contemporary workspace tailored for hybrid work models.
