Bedworth Physical Activity Hub

Bedworth Physical Activity Hub

Project Overview

  • Project: Bedworth Physical Activity Hub
  • Client: Nuneaton & Bedworth Borough Council
  • Construction Value: £24m
  • Status: Live
  • Location: Nuneaton

A brand-new set of facilities designed to meet the needs of the borough (both existing residents, and those of the future).

The new £24m hub will replace the existing centre, facilities include a 25m 8 lane pool, learner pool with moveable floor, 120 station fitness suite, 2 studios, spin studio, changing areas, external sport pitch, café, and flexible community room with views across the new park.

Set in Miners Welfare Park, the park itself will also undergo a major transformation, with designs focused on creating an active landscape, which wraps around and supports the new building. With support and funding from British Cycling, the project boasts a series of new mountain bike trails, plus an integrated Cycle Hub offering bike hire. The proposal also features a new all wheels skatepark, learn-to-ride area, and pump track.

The existing leisure centre will continue to operate whilst the Hub is being built, with an expected completion date of late 2024. We are looking forward to working with Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council, BAM, and the wider design and delivery team to bring this scheme to life.
