The latest edition of sb Magazine by IAKS International explores how sports and leisure spaces can bring people together, support wellbeing and respond to climate challenges at the same time. The focus is on projects that go beyond sport alone, becoming part of everyday life and strengthening the communities around them.
We are proud to see the Jubilee Sports Centre at University of Southampton featured in this edition. Designed as a compact and inclusive extension, the project is centred around student wellbeing and social connection, creating a welcoming place to move, meet and spend time.
It is encouraging to see projects recognised that place people, community and long-term impact at the heart of the conversation, and that reflect the evolving role of sports and leisure buildings within campus life and the wider built environment.
