We are proud to celebrate the work of Steven Thornton, Architectural Technologist Placement Student here at GT3, who was featured in the latest AT Journal, Issue 156 (Winter 2025).
Steven’s article explores a retrofit-led case study completed during his first year at university, highlighting how sustainable design approaches can support more resilient communities and extend the life of existing buildings.
The work draws inspiration from the United Nations Resilience Hub Initiative and the Urban Sustainability Directors Network, reflecting a shared focus on adaptability, long-term value and community resilience.
