We were appointed to deliver a number of Masterplans in Hartlepool as part of a wider ‘Hartlepool Regeneration Masterplan’. Jacksons Landing, a 80,00 sq ft failed retail space, was identified as one key area for re-development. The site is located close to the Hartlepool branch of the National Museum of the Royal Navy and lies opposite Hartlepool Marina, one of the most commercially successful facilities of its kind in North East England with berthing capacity for 500 boats.
Our Concept Masterplan for Jacksons Landing aimed to make way for a tourism-led, mixed use development that would create a landmark destination to attract visitors from the surrounding regions and further afield. Our brief was to stimulate investment, co-ordinate delivery of key sites at the Waterfront and build upon Hartlepool’s profile as a major leisure and visitor destination of regional and national significance.
